I don't like pink...

...but I was tired of the old autumnal colors. Can't find anything really "wintry" that I like--actually don't really like ANY of these templates, but I don't know how to import a template from somewhere else. I found one awhile back that I LOVED and couldn't figure out how to make it work, so I just gave up and went with one of the boring ones on here.

Can someone rescue me from this sea of Pepto-Bismol-ish pink?

If you know even a tiny bit about html codes, you can play around with your template and make it more "you"--here's a website I wish I'd know about when I was using Xanga: http://www.december.com/html/spec/color.html

Every color of the rainbow has a 6-digit html code, and they're all on this site. If you can scroll through your template code and experiment with replacing some of the color codes, you can do some fun stuff. Enjoy!

I know just about enough about html to make me dangerous!! ;-) I'll mess with it and see what I can do.

Big frown. I found the color code for the bottom half of the background, but couldn't find the one for the top, so, for awhile, I had a LOVELY shade of "cheddar" on part of the page!

cheddar is better!!!

Cheddar is, indeed, better, but not when mixed with Pepto-Bismol! I couldn't find the color code for the top half of the background (there's the tiniest shade difference from top to bottom).

I spent a couple of hours tonight looking at backgrounds/templates on another website--I found two that I REALLY liked, but when I tried to copy them, I got a "do NOT proceed any further, because we know your ISP and we WILL prosecute you for copyright infringement" message...apparently, the designer had used song lyrics without permission. Sadness.

I tried another one, but I don't understand html well enough to know where one segment stops and another one starts, so I didn't have all the...whatever they're called...closed and the page wouldn't load.

Oh, well. The pink can't stay, though. It's nauseating.

Dena did you upgrade to the blogger 2.0? If so it includes a tool to customize your template completely color/font/etc. wise. You should try that. Its very easy to learn and use.

I'm thinking I just need to choose a different template and go from there--this one obviously won't let me change everything that I want to change. Maybe another one will be more Dena-friendly, eh?
